On Thursday, 53,386 vaccinations were carried out in Austria in the last 24 hours – which means that 50.1 percent of the total population has already been fully vaccinated. 503 new infections were reported by the relevant ministries. This is above the previous seven-day average of 401; the seven-day incidence was 31.4 cases per 100,000 population.
According to E-vaccine passport data, 5,264,597 people have received at least partial vaccination (58.9 percent of the population). 4,479,543, or 50.1 percent of Austrians, are fully immunized. The vaccination coverage rate is highest in Burgenland with 66.1 percent. Behind Carinthia (55.7) and Salzburg (55.2), Upper Austria brings up the rear with a rate of 54.9 percent.
